Ambassadors for Christ

The word of the Almighty from the holy book of 2nd Corinthians 5v2o says, "Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God."

What is an ambassador? He or she is nothing but an official who lives in a foreign country as the senior representative of his or her own country. Taking for example, Simon Khaya Moyo is Zimbabwe's ambassador to South Africa. An ambassador is a unique person in any country in that he is there for a specified period of time and once his term of office is over he is summoned back to his country of origin. This then follows that an ambassador is someone on a mission and he presence in that country is not coincidental.

What then does the word mean when it says you are Christ's ambassador? Hey, it means you do not belong to this world, you are simply there to represent the heavens. Once your term of office expires the father will recall you to the heavenly places. Inasmuch as the earthly ambassador ensures that good relations exist between his country and the one in which he is residing, you are also charged the responsibility of reconciling the world to God.

The church is the embassy of heaven on earth and as a Christian you are an employee at the heavenly embassy. If people approach you for visas, do not turn them away. This then means that if people do not have those visas you are to blame there as an embassy.

Lets us stand up brethren and do our job at the esteemed embassy, the church of God. Bring as may souls as you can to the Kingdom whilst there is still time. Should you be summoned home today, what account would you give to the Father. Stand your ground as a child of the Most High and do the work of the Holy one before it gets late. Till next next time.
